What We Do

WSFI operates across four core program areas — each designed to address an urgent dimension of the crisis facing survivors of conflict, disease, and displacement. Every program is built on the belief that relief and restoration must go together.

WSFI was created to operate and assist in regions that are struggling to help themselves. We focus where AIDS takes its toll on babies before they are even born, where children are taken and forced to fight in conflicts they barely understand, and where greed is the catalyst of death and brutal violence. Through donations and the dedication of staff and volunteers, we can make a difference in the lives of so many who barely have hope to make it through another day.

  • Emergency Relief

When disaster strikes — whether from armed conflict, famine, or natural catastrophe — WSFI works to deliver immediate aid: food, water, medicine, and shelter to those who need it most, as fast as possible.

  • Medical Support

WSFI works to expand access to healthcare in underserved communities — including HIV/AIDS testing and treatment, maternal and child health, trauma care for conflict survivors, and disease prevention education.

  • Education & Skills

Recovery requires more than food and medicine. WSFI supports access to education for children who have missed years of schooling, and vocational skills training for adults who need a path back to self-sufficiency.

  • Advocacy & Outreach

Changing conditions on the ground requires changing minds and policies. WSFI advocates for the rights and needs of survivors at local, national, and international levels — and builds awareness to grow the community of support.
