Helping People to Survive and to Build a World that Cares
WSFI is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing relief, resources, and renewed hope to survivors of conflict, disease, and catastrophe — in West Africa and around the world.
WSFI was created to operate and assist in regions that are struggling to help themselves — and who are not being helped by other major organizations. We focus initially in West Africa, in places where AIDS takes its toll before children are even born, where young people are forced into conflicts they barely understand, and where greed drives brutal violence. Through donations and the dedication of staff and volunteers, we can make a difference in the lives of so many who barely have hope to make it through another day.
Areas of Focus
-
AIDS & Disease
In communities devastated by the AIDS epidemic and other infectious disease, WSFI works to provide testing, treatment access, education, and care — particularly for the most vulnerable: infants, children, and mothers.
-
Conflict & Displacement
Armed conflict forces millions from their homes, leaving survivors traumatized and without resources. WSFI works to deliver immediate relief and long-term support to those displaced by war and political violence.
-
Children at Risk
Children bear a disproportionate burden in conflict zones — orphaned, forcibly recruited, or simply left without shelter, food, or education. WSFI prioritizes their safety, wellbeing, and future.
